My mission is to help you heal so you can experience true wellness. True wellness is more than being symptom-free; it is a state in which all aspects of your being are in balance (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual) and you have the freedom to enjoy life. I chose this career because I am a problem solver by nature and naturopathic medicine is all about identifying the underlying causes of disease and addressing them.

I first became interested in natural medicine after I experienced dramatic improvement in energy, mood, and digestion when I first adopted the Blood Type Diet while on international exchange in Mexico. When I returned to Canada I continued learning about nutrition, fitness, and natural health and achieved even more improvements in my health. After graduating from Queen’s University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree I worked in consumer packaged goods by day, but spent much of my free time learning about health. It wasn’t long before I realized that my true passion and best use of my abilities was as a naturopathic doctor.

In addition to my studies at CCNM, I pursued education in personalized nutrition with Peter D’Adamo ND and the Institute for Human Individuality and classical homeopathy with Joseph Kellerstein DC, ND, FCAH, CCH and Helena Ovens ND, FCAH, CCH. I have also completed a program on Traditional Medicine in India through Child Family Health International, a rotation working with HIV/AIDS patients at Sherbourne Health Center, and an externship focused on classical homeopathy.

I am a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) and received the Governors’ Award of Excellence for outstanding academic performance. I am registered with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy - Naturopathy (BDDT-N) and licensed to practice naturopathic medicine in the province of Ontario. I am a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), and a Master of the Institute for Human Individuality (IfHI).

I believe in promoting wellness on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and energetic. This approach requires recognition of individual needs and development in order to create a personalized treatment plan. I enjoy working with patients of all ages and conditions in my family practice, with a special interest in the following:

  • Mental health, addictions, mood, and stress management
  • Digestive health
  • Women’s health (including naturopathic gynecology)
  • Hormonal balance
  • Neurological health
